Lorton Stone, LLC had a standout year at the Washington Building Congress 2024 Craftsmanship Awards, earning six honors that spanned institutional, historic preservation, infrastructure, and transit projects across the DC region. Recognized projects included masonry work at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital, the Bank of Alexandria Historic Restoration, 3,400 square feet of granite and limestone at Courthouse Metro, Phase 3 of the Cannon House Office Building renovation, exterior stone and metal preservation at the US Capitol, and a seawall project along the historic C&O Canal.
